Gravel driveway repair

All gravel driveways eventually need maintenance or repair. Regular use and weather cause native soils to infiltrate and mix with previous gravel applications leading to potholes and ruts.


We can easily fix most gravel surface issues by grading smooth whatever materials are and then applying fresh layers of new gravel.

New driveway or parking installation

Installing a new driveway or parking area is an exciting project and, if done properly, will make an enormous difference to the long-term cost and quality of the road surface.


Removal of organic top layers (ex: grass), installation of a geotextile, and a sufficient thickness of road base (ex: RR Ballast & ABC/crush-‘n-run) are key steps. Proper drainage is particularly important and is accomplished by establishing a crown and ensuring that drainage ditches are present and working properly. The addition of culverts and/or French drains may also be necessary to ensure that your driveway will work properly for years to come.

Crush-'n-run / ABC / Road Base

40% #57 and 60% Sand

Road Base or ABC, also known as Crush-‘n-run is an excellent choice to build gravel roadways. It’s used under every paved road in the state. It compacts well and wears well. The large stones keep the sand in place and the sand keeps the gravel in place.

#57 Washed Stone

Clean stone from .5 to 1.5 inches

#57 gravel is a clean or washed stone with a consistent particle size distribution. It is excellent as a top layer to an existing gravel road.
